NeverAwake FLASHBACK Demo Out Today
Neotro Inc. and Phoenixx Inc. have announced that NeverAwake FLASHBACK will launch on PC via Steam on December 10th, 2025. It’s the nightmarish sequel to the critically acclaimed roguelite twin-stick shooter NeverAwake. Fans can get a first taste of the game today in the demo launching as part of Steam Next Fest.
In the game, players return to the troubled sleep of young Rem, as relentless nightmares once again shatter his peaceful nights. Accompanied by her beloved stuffed animal, Gabe-chan, players will journey through the twisted corners of Rem’s mind. All while confronting both terrifying and oddly familiar foes. In this surreal world, even vegetables become monstrous threats. Players will battle asparagus apparitions, broccoli beasts, and fiery wasabi demons, alongside haunting memories such as a dreaded trip to the dentist or a near encounter with a rabid dog. Over 80 procedurally generated levels offer a fresh and unpredictable challenge every run.
Each session begins by selecting a custom combination of three weapons and three accessories. This provides players the freedom to experiment with hundreds of combat builds. Enemies attack from every direction, allowing for varied strategies, from precise twin-stick shooting to devastating close-range blasts. The demo provides a full tutorial and three intense stages, pitting players against imaginative nightmares shaped by adolescent anxieties.

NeverAwake FLASHBACK will be available on Steam for PC on December 10th, 2025. It will feature language support in Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
