Unleash Your Spells In Fantasy Maiden Wars
Developer Sanbondo and publisher Phoenixx Inc. have announced that the bullet hell tactical RPG Fantasy Maiden Wars – DREAM OF THE STRAY DREAMER will launch worldwide on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in 2025. Previously available only in Japan, the game brings the expansive Touhou universe to a global audience with a rich blend of strategic gameplay and storytelling.
Fantasy Maiden Wars reimagines the world of Gensokyo by combining the original Touhou Project narrative with elements from popular fan creations. With a cast of more than 70 characters, players will guide Marisa the magician and shrine maiden Reimu as they unravel a growing mystery and battle strange forces disrupting the realm.
Combat in the game merges tactical, turn-based strategy with bullet hell elements. Positioning, timing, and special attacks all play a role in dominating the battlefield. Players can unleash devastating melee moves or long-range spell card attacks, customizing each character with unique skills and powerful abilities.
The experience is further enriched by beautifully animated combat sequences. It also features hand-drawn cutscenes and a soundtrack of over 200 tracks drawn from two decades of Touhou-inspired music. A built-in glossary offers detailed lore for new and returning fans, providing context and depth to the story.
Fantasy Maiden Wars: DREAM OF THE STRAY DREAMER is currently available on Nintendo Switch in Japan for 4,950 Yen. The global version will be coming out sometime in 2025.
