Hoomanz! Brings Wholesome Stealth and Mischief to Steam

Scare Away the Invading Hoomanz!

Independent studio Koffeecup has released Hoomanz!, a stealth-adventure game now available on Steam, along with a free downloadable demo. The developers have also confirmed upcoming support for Mac and localization in Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, and Italian. Console players can look forward to its arrival on Nintendo Switch and Xbox in November.

Hoomanz! offers a lighthearted mix of humor, creativity, and non-combat adventure, designed to be both cozy and family-friendly. Players take on the role of Shoo, the mythical guardian of Planet Erf, a place where light is feared and darkness is its protector. Shoo’s duty is to defend the planet by scaring away the curious Hoomanz who threaten its harmony. Possessing a dual nature, Shoo shifts between two forms: Dark Shoo, who is agile and fierce, and Light Shoo, who is slower, defenseless, and irresistibly adorable, though much to Shoo’s annoyance, the Hoomanz can’t resist trying to hug him.

The game encourages creative approaches to stealth and mischief. Players can startle intruders using the environment, snapping twigs, tossing bottles, sabotaging lights, or even performing yeti-like jumpscares. Each encounter offers room for experimentation, rewarding clever tricks that send the invaders running. As Shoo journeys across Planet Erf, players can explore whimsical landscapes, overcome nature’s obstacles, and rescue local creatures.

As the story progresses, the challenges grow more daring and the fight to protect the planet becomes increasingly urgent. Blending playful humor with inventive gameplay, Hoomanz! delights with its quirky charm, banjo-playing humans, icy pratfalls, and panicked screams all add to its heartwarming mischief. It is a celebration of creativity, nature, and the joy of gentle chaos, wrapped in a cozy, laughter-filled adventure.
