Get a Taste of Gumball in Trick-Or-Treat Land
Mega Cat Studios and Exquisite Laundry Pet are setting the stage for a festive fright this season with the release of a demo for their upcoming 8-bit RPG, Gumball in Trick-or-Treat Land. Now available on Steam, the demo gives players a playful preview of the full adventure. The game is slated for release in the first quarter of 2026.
The demo captures the spirit of Halloween with colorful characters, quirky enemies, and a world brimming with candy-coated charm. Players step into the shoes of Gumball, the game’s chewy hero, as he journeys through Trick-or-Treat Land. Along the way, he encounters the candy cornfolk of Corndale and clashes with the notorious Boysenberry Boys. He even finds himself face-to-face with an ill-tempered spider. To sweeten the deal, the demo also includes a section created exclusively for Steam Next Fest, giving fans brand new content to explore.
Adam Lewis Graf, creator of the game, expressed his excitement about the launch: “There’s like an hour of all-new, demo-exclusive content after the main objective is complete, and it was a really fun opportunity to flesh out the backstory of some of the side characters a little more and to design a new dungeon! I think it really gives a sense of how the full version of the game feels once you get beyond the tutorial-style areas, and it’s full of fun little surprises!”
