Try Your Luck in Deckout
Solo indie developer Ahmed Jalil has announced that Deckout will launch later this year on PC via Steam, though a specific release date has yet to be confirmed. A free demo is already available as part of the Steam Next Fest, giving players an early chance to experience the gameās chaotic energy and add it to their wishlist.

Deckout is a fast-paced, comedic card-based party game where luck, timing, and a bit of chaos rule every round. Players face a random target number, such as 23 or 44, and secretly select between one and five cards from their seven-card hand to get as close as possible. Players reveal their hands in order, score them instantly, and boost them with simple yet clever bonuses. Matching colors, forming straights, or landing three of a kind can all tilt the odds in unexpected ways.
Instead of traditional health systems, Deckout runs on coins. Everyone begins with 50, and each roundās losers contribute to a shared prize pool based on how far they fell from the target. The winner keeps their coins, while others pay varying amounts depending on their placement. Strategic coin management adds another layer of tension, as players can spend coins to redraw or refill cards, but hitting zero means elimination.
The gameās finale ends with a satisfying comic twist, featuring a giant hammer that declares the ultimate victor. Deckout supports both online play for two to four players and offline matches against spirited AI opponents designed to mimic real personalities. With matches lasting around eight to thirteen minutes, every session feels short, sharp, and unpredictable, offering an energetic blend of strategy and laughter wrapped in colorful, competitive fun.
