Within the Cosmos Marks 6 Months With the New 2.1 Update

Immerse Yourself Within the Cosmos

Within the Cosmos has reached its six-month milestone, and solo developer debdev is marking the occasion with the release of Update 2.1. The latest update brings a variety of new features, refinements, and improvements. It promises to enrich the experience and push the game closer to the developer’s long-term vision.

Within the Cosmos

One of the most notable additions is a new enemy type, invisible foes that challenge players to rethink their strategies. To aid in survival, new augments have been introduced, including night vision and enemy tracking. A new NPC messaging system allows players to stay connected in-game. Third-person world interactions, such as sitting and drinking, help bring the protagonist to life within the environment. Another addition is the introduction of enemy shield bars, adding a new tactical layer to combat.

“I can never thank players enough for their support over the past 6 months,” said debdev, the developer of the game. “This update brings the game closer to my original vision, and I’m excited to keep building on it in the months ahead.”

Within the Cosmos invites players to explore a fractured human society threatened by an emerging android presence after awakening in a secluded star system. With planets to uncover, philosophies to navigate, and choices that shape the story, the game continues to evolve. Update 2.1 is now live on Steam, where the game is available with a 30% discount until October 6. You can check out the full changelog right here.
