Challenge the Gods in Hades II
Supergiant Games has confirmed that Hades II will officially leave early access on September 25, arriving for Nintendo consoles and PC. The acclaimed roguelike will launch as a timed console exclusive for both the Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, priced at $30 for the digital edition. Fans eager for a physical release will not have long to wait, as preorders are now live for a special physical edition launching on November 20 at $50.

The physical version, published by Nintendo, includes the complete game and the upgrade pack directly on the cartridge. Although packaged in a Switch 2 case, the game card is fully compatible with the original Switch, Switch OLED, and Switch Lite. This Switch 2-branded edition is the only physical release planned for Nintendo consoles, making it a key pick for collectors and series enthusiasts.
Performance improvements set the Switch 2 experience apart. On the new hardware, Hades II will run at 1080p resolution with a smooth 120fps in docked mode, while handheld play offers 1080p at 60fps. On the original Switch, players can expect 720p resolution at 60fps. These enhancements promise fluid combat and sharp visuals, ideal for the game’s fast-paced action and detailed art style.
Supergiant has also made it easy for existing players to continue their journey. Anyone with an early access save file on PC will be able to transfer their progress to a Nintendo console, ensuring a seamless transition to the full release.
With its November 20 physical launch and upgraded performance on Switch 2, Hades II looks set to build on the success of its predecessor, offering both newcomers and returning fans a polished, complete experience straight out of the box.
