Glitchers Will Join the Upcoming Steam Next Fest With a Demo

Defeat the Evil Emperor in Glitchers

PushStart Studio has revealed that Glitchers will launch its demo during Steam Next Fest this October. The indie title takes a playful twist on the hack-and-slash formula by introducing mechanics that let players hack the game itself, opening the door to devastating combos and creative chaos.

The game follows the adventure of Trix, a girl mysteriously trapped inside her favorite game. To escape, she must survive anomalies and track down a legendary armor set. And ultimately face a vengeful villain bent on dismantling every warrior in her path. Along the way, Trix encounters orcs, dwarves, and endless glitches, creating a world where absurdity is the norm and nothing behaves as expected.

The game’s visual style heightens this sense of disorder. Jagged 2D art and polygon-like edges create a low-poly landscape that feels both nostalgic and unstable. And Trix is the lone smooth, rounded figure, an outlier within her own pixelated prison. The soundtrack pushes the clash of worlds even further, layering pulsing electronic beats with medieval-inspired melodies. It’s like a nightclub dropped straight into the Middle Ages.

Spanning nine levels, Glitchers promises a mix of eccentric enemies, inventive challenges, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek madness. Spcine and the São Paulo State Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industry backed the project, which has already left a mark on the international stage with appearances at Gamescom Latam, Gamescom Germany, GDC San Francisco, XL Courage, and PocketGamer Connects San Francisco 2025, where it won the Audience Choice Award in the BIG Indie Zone.

With momentum on its side, Glitchers is now ready to shine at Steam Next Fest. Its demo will be available on the game’s Steam page in October, giving players an early taste of its chaotic charm.
