A New Life Awaits in Smith’s Chronicles
Arsanesia has officially announced Smith’s Chronicles, a new life simulation game that reimagines the role of a blacksmith. Instead of focusing on weapons and war, the game highlights how blacksmithing skills can help build a peaceful life and restore a community. Alongside the announcement, Arsanesia released the game’s first trailer and opened its official Steam page.
In Smith’s Chronicles, players return as a young blacksmith to the quiet town of Grandall. Once a lively village, Grandall has slowly emptied as residents drifted away. Now, with their skills refined at the academy, players must forge tools, rebuild homes, and restore the community. Beyond supporting local villagers, players will also welcome refugees, ensuring Grandall once again thrives as a warm and prosperous settlement.
The game highlights creativity and community through crafting, resource gathering, and personalization. Players can smelt, forge, and assemble tools, gather materials by mining, logging, hunting, and fishing, and run a customizable blacksmith shop to display, manage, and decorate. Relationships deepen the experience, with chances to befriend townsfolk, find romance, and explore unique stories across Grandall. Players can personalize both their characters and workshops to express their style and showcase their finest creations.
“Smith’s Chronicles offers a fresh concept. Blacksmiths are usually associated with weapons and war, yet in reality, their craft was equally vital in creating everyday tools, driving technological innovation, and even producing works of art. In this game, those skills are reimagined to focus on building and breathing new life into a community, bringing a cozy perspective to the blacksmith’s role in a beautiful medieval fantasy world,” said Adam Ardisasmita, CEO of Arsanesia.
With its peaceful spin on blacksmithing, Smith’s Chronicles aims to deliver a refreshing take on the genre. All while offering players a chance to forge a new life in Grandall.
