Hunt and Cook in Pizza Bandit
The ovens are blazing, and the fight is on. Indie studio JofSoft has launched Pizza Bandit into Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. This unique title promises to offer a wild blend of over-the-top combat and frantic cooking. Described as “Gears of War meets Overcooked,” this chaotic third-person co-op shooter throws players into a kitchen where bounty hunting and culinary mayhem collide across space and time.
The game follows Malik, a time-traveling ex-mercenary with an unusual ambition to run the galaxy’s greatest pizza joint. To finance that dream, players will chase down targets across different eras. All while managing the chaos of cooking under literal fire. From tossing dough in the middle of a battlefield to delivering stylish takedowns, every mission is designed to test multitasking skills in the most absurd ways possible.
“We wanted to blend arcade-style combat with the absurd pressure of a cooking show in total crisis,” says Hugo Pak, Game Director at JofSoft. “It’s fast, ridiculous, and surprisingly strategic– just like trying to open a restaurant during an alien invasion!”
The Early Access release comes with the game’s full core loop, online matchmaking, and plenty of combustible tension. JofSoft also has a roadmap in place, with plans to expand Pizza Bandit. There will be new missions, enemies, including heavier armored foes and monstrous creatures, recipes, cosmetic options, and more restaurant upgrades. Community feedback will play a central role in shaping these additions, ensuring the game evolves with its players.
With its mix of high-stakes action and hilarious kitchen disasters, Pizza Bandit is cooking up something fresh and just dangerous enough to keep players on their toes.
