Dyer Expedition Brings Lovecraftian Horror to Steam This Fall

Get Ready to Set Out on a Dyer Expedition

Developer Monkeys With Jobs has announced that Dyer Expedition will launch on Steam this fall. This atmospheric puzzle adventure will be available for $9.99, with a 10% discount at release. Inspired by H P Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness, the game blends survival, mystery, and creeping dread against the harsh backdrop of Antarctica. The developer also released a new trailer, offering a haunting glimpse of the horrors that await beneath the ice.

Set in 1931, the game begins with the ambitious Antarctic expedition of Miskatonic University, led by Professor William Dyer. Their mission is to excavate fossils and uncover clues to the continent’s hidden past. But when contact is lost and the supply ship returns to a nearly abandoned camp, something clearly has gone terribly wrong.

Players assume the role of an investigator drawn into the mystery. With no rescue in sight, you secure passage on a fishing vessel in Australia. Once it reaches the ice, you have just two days to piece together what befell the team and escape before your only way home sails away.

Dyer Expedition emphasizes exploration, puzzle-solving, and atmosphere. Players will uncover frozen ruins, sift through abandoned camps, and push deeper into the icy unknown while an unsettling sense of dread lingers at every step. An optional retro visual mode offers a nod to classic PC adventures, while the game’s original haunting soundtrack amplifies the tension.

Blending survival and psychological horror, Dyer Expedition promises to capture the spirit of Lovecraft’s chilling tale while crafting a uniquely interactive descent into fear. The game is available to wishlist now on Steam.
