Bipedal Dog, the studio led by former 1UP.com editor and Retronauts contributor Ray Barnholt, has opened pre-orders for Blast Rush LS on the Nintendo eShop. This explosive arcade-style shoot ’em up officially launches on June 19, 2025, for $9.99, with a 20% discount available during the preorder period. A PC version will also be coming out later this year via Steam.
Blast Rush LS brings a new twist to the bullet hell formula as players get access to an infinite supply of bombs. Instead of dodging waves of enemies with limited resources, you can go on the offensive, chaining blasts through dense formations in rapid-fire sessions. Each ship features three different bomb types, offering a total of nine variations. Additional tools like a gust-style sideswipe and the time-slowing Hyperdodge add layers of strategy to the chaos.
The game includes over 40 handcrafted levels in Standard mode, along with Endurance and 2 Minute challenge modes for score chasers. It also retains its mobile roots by including the original version of Blast Rush as a playable option. A dedicated Library section features concept art, development notes, and a full music player.
With its crisp 16-bit-inspired visuals and a driving chiptune soundtrack, Blast Rush LS is built for quick sessions and endless replayability. Whether you are climbing the leaderboard or just blowing things up for fun, it is a focused, fast-paced homage to classic arcade shooters with a modern twist. The game is now available for preorder on Nintendo Switch and arrives June 19.
