Join the Epic Battle in ROME: Total War
The Imperium Update for ROME: Total War has arrived on iOS and Android, bringing major gameplay enhancements and quality-of-life improvements at no cost. The update will also be available next week on the standalone expansions, Barbarian Invasion or Alexander.
This update brings new control options inspired by Feral Interactive’s more recent mobile Total War releases. Positioning Mode, Melee Mode, and Automatic Deselection allow for smoother battlefield commands, giving you more control over your armies. Command Slowdown automatically slows down gameplay when issuing complex orders, helping you make more precise tactical decisions. Keyboard and mouse support is now available on iPad and Android for the first time, offering a new way to experience the game.
Beyond control improvements, the Imperium Update enhances gameplay balance, refines mechanics, and improves the overall experience. Units respond more smoothly, battles feel more dynamic, and the interface is more intuitive. These upgrades bring the original 2016 mobile release of ROME: Total War up to modern standards, making every battle more immersive and strategic.
Feral Interactive has applied its extensive experience in mobile game development to refine and optimize every aspect of the game. With this update, the game now aligns more closely with its modern counterparts, ensuring a better experience for both long-time players and newcomers.
