An Epic Story Awaits in The Thaumaturge
Developer Fool’s Theory and publisher 11-bit Studios have announced that The Thaumaturge is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on 4 December. The game originally came out on PC this year in March, and now it is ready to bring the adventure on consoles. Players can also try out the demo which is available on both platforms.
The game follows the story of Wiktor, a weary thaumaturge making his way back to his roots in Warsaw, a vibrant city brimming with life, culture, and diversity. This bustling metropolis becomes the stage for Wiktor’s journey as he begins to piece together fragments of his troubled past. As he moves through Warsaw’s streets and alleys, he encounters a mix of residents, each representing different aspects of the city’s complex society, from common folk to influential elites.
Through these interactions, Wiktor gradually unravels their stories, weaving them together with his own. In his search for answers, he may also stumble upon the shadowy intrigues of Rasputin, a figure whose influence extends deep into the Imperial Court and the Tsarist forces that occupy Poland, setting the stage for a tangled web of power and danger.
Wiktor’s magical abilities let him see what others cannot and influence people to serve his goals. He forges bonds with mystical beings called Salutors, who offer valuable help in battles and investigations. However, each Salutor comes with its flaws, such as Pride or Recklessness, that Wiktor must take on. This makes their powers both a gift and a risk.
