Developer Byterunners and publisher Movie Games S.A. just released a free Visual Update for Drug Dealer Simulator after more than 4 years. It is out now on Steam and GOG, and the original version still being available on a dedicated Steam branch. The update came out as a part of the DDS Madness 2.0 event, which celebrates its universe. To top it all off, the game is currently running a huge 90% discount, so check it out while you can.
Here are the changes included in the Visual Update:
– Added 1 GB of new textures
– Toned the colors of the terrain for a more natural look
– Replaced ca. 90% of foliage
– Increased the density of foliage in selected areas
– Improved selected materials
– Prevented the detected rare glitches where some textures rendered black
– Improved post processes: flair, noise, film grain/noise, white balance, saturation
– Tweak night lighting to light up overly dark areas for a better gaming experience
– Improved the effects of water and smoke
– Fixed the positioning of certain objects that were hovering above the ground
– Additionally, cloud saves have been enabled.
People who prefer the original visual can follow these steps:
– Steam: Go to Properties -> Beta -> Change the branch to Original_Visuals
– GOG: Go to the game of your choice in GOG Galaxy -> Click the menu button right of the play button-> Manage installation-> Configure -> Installation -> Uncheck “Automatically update to newest version” -> Selec the previous version of the game
