Rediscover Childhood in despelote
Developers Julián Cordero and Sebastián Valbuena alongside publisher Panic have unveiled a new trailer for their slice-of-life adventure title despelote. They also shared an updated release window of early 2025 for the game which will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox X/S, Epic Games Store, and Steam.
“We’re so excited to show you what we’ve been working on these past few years!” says Julian Cordero, creative director. “While putting together the ending we discovered some great ways to tie everything together, and we’re feeling really good about it, along with finishing up our recreation of Quito.”
despelote is more than just a soccer game, it’s a journey through the lively streets and parks of Quito, Ecuador, all seen through the eyes of 8-year-old Julián. As you dribble, pass, and shoot your soccer ball around town, you’ll witness how the city reacts to every kick. And as Ecuador gets closer to a historic World Cup qualification, you’ll feel the excitement and energy ripple through the city. Dive into this vibrant world where soccer connects people and shapes the neighborhood around you.
