Green Hell Surviving on Next-Gen Consoles, August 14th

A Fresh Hell

It’s time to journey to the Amazon. This time, a little differently then gamers may be used to. Now, all of the danger and adventure of this mighty jungle is coming to an all new platform. Today, Creepy Jar is happy to announce that their survival sim, Green Hell is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on August 14th. Inviting next-gen players to step into a world of the darkest parts of the Amazon Rainforest, the game is arriving to next-gen consoles alongside a free upgrade from last-gen for game owners. Of course, the new versions of the game will be full of content. A press release provides more details.

Green Hell invites players into the darkest, uncharted, depths of the Amazon Rainforest. Playing as the main character, Jake, players will be pushed to the brink. Importantly, players will need to do whatever they need to in order to survive. Of course, this ranges from fishing, to crafting weapons, to taming animals. In fact, players can even learn to befriend the different Amazonian Tribes in the area. Doing so will advance the story of the game, taking the players from being left for dead to a hardened survivor in the darkest part of the world.

Importantly, the arrival of the game to next-gen consoles is a beginning and an end. The next-gen upgrade marks the end of support for older consoles. Creepy Jar explains, in the press release, that the older consoles lack the power to keep up with what Green Hell has planned. Of course, players can get a look at the current state of the game in the next-gen announcement trailer. Check it out below.
