Geneforge 2 – Infestation is a full remastered version of the 2003 cult-classic RPG Geneforge 2. It contains new areas, quests, characters, and dialogue, a redone interface and systems. Along with a complete rework of every single detail to bring it into the modern era of gaming.
This game is the second part of the saga and offers a unique and truly open-ended fantasy adventure in a chaotic, alien world. You will step inside the shoes of the Shapers, wizards with the power to create life. However, the people that you created have grown lazy and complacent, with the appearance of a new threat.
Your creations have no obligation to serve you anymore and you get lost in a wild, full of savage mountain range. At the same time, a rebellion is brewing up there, and will provide you awesome power if you join them. Whether you choose to destroy the rebels or aid them, the choice is all yours.
The game puts a lot of emphasis on the freedom of the player. You can fight alone with swords, missiles, and magic, or even create your army of mutant monsters. Alternatively, you can employ trickery, diplomacy, and stealth to emerge victorious in the game without resorting to confrontation. There is no such thing as a ‘bad guy’ and you get to decide among rival factions or just destroy everything.
