Bears In Space Goes Boldly to Steam Next Fest

Bears Vs Bots

Imagine having the DNA of a bear. Okay, now picture this human-bear hybrid in space fighting robots. Sounds like a bear-y good time right? Well now you can take your first steps into this reality. Today, Broadside Games and Ravenscourt are happy to announce that their humorous bullet-hell FPS, Bears in Space, has a demo at Steam Next Fest. Inviting players to a wacky adventure, players take on the role of a cosmonaut who undergoes a strange transformation. Combining elements of first person shooter and bullet-hell games and mixing them with a wacky sense of humor for a unique shooter experience. A gameplay trailer gives players a glimpse of the game.

Bears in Space

Bears in Space places players in the hands or paws of Maxwell Atoms. By happenstance Maxwell has his DNA spliced with a she-bear Beartana. Now, with the power of bear and man, Atoms will fight to find his way back to his crew and make it back to Earth. Of course, he won’t go unimpeded. As Atoms, players will fight through hordes of bloodthirsty robots across different locations. For instance, players may find themselves in a space carnival, or a secret temple or even wastelands. Interestingly, players will have an entire arsenal of space weapons to blast bots, yet that’s not all. Players can collect honey pots located on the map to unleash their ursine rage, becoming the she-bear and tearing bots limb from limb.

Importantly, players can get a look at Bears in Space in the gameplay trailer for the game. Check out the trailer below.

Bears in Space is  launching 22nd March 2024. Currently, a demo is available for download now on PC via Steam.
