Find Your Way Back Home in Torn Away

Indie game studio perelesoq and publisher OverGamez have announced the release date of Torn Away for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation consoles. The game will be available in their respective stores on 3 February 2024. It originally came out on Steam, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S back in the fall of 2023.

Torn Away

Torn Away is a story-driven side-scroller adventure game with first-person levels, creating a unique experience for everyone. The story is about Asya, a ten-year-old girl, and her journey to find her way back home after escaping a Nazi labor camp during World War II.

Experience the tragedy of war through the lens of a child and face difficult challenges of survival, hope, and humanity. It is a game that will evoke the emotions of the heroin and appreciate the loving care of home and family.

Along the way, she must solve various mini-games. There is a stealth mechanic as well to avoid soldiers and overcome obstacles. Not only that, there are first-person cinematic levels that enrich the narrative to a whole new level.

Key features:

– A touching story inspired by the diaries of children about the hardships of wartime told through the perspective of Asya.
– An unfairly forgotten theme of the fate of “Ostarbeiters” people. They were forcibly deported from Eastern Europe to work in Nazi labor camps.
– Visual language assembled from elements of socialist realism and modern French animation.
– 3D levels stylized as 2D art.
– Original soundtrack inspired by the music of Hayao Miyazaki’s movies, French New Wave cinema, and experimental electronic music.
