Primateria is a roguelike deck builder TCG with a touch of the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! experience. You will embark on an epic journey through a universe filled with challenges and surprises. All the while facing card battles that do not require mana, sacrifice, or summoning sickness. The game focuses on creativity and experimentation as cards are taken in and out of your deck as you progress.
You are allowed to play as many cards as you please, with a proper balance using the fusion mechanic. Enemies that you confront are all randomly selected cards, while you will be using the ones in your deck. Not only that, there are different bosses as well, each with their own decks.
Unleash powerful combo attacks through the unique abilities of each card and take them all out. You can even elevate your summoning tactics by perfectly matching levels for fusion.
Of course, there is no proper HP system in the game as well, making it more unique. You will have a ‘Damage Pile’ that endures through successive battles. When your cards get defeated, they are transferred to the damage pile and remain there until you are healed. There is also a distinctive mana pool system intricately linked to the fusion mechanic as well.
Most importantly, the game features a completely thrilling story with 9 different quests with many interesting characters. The music is inspired by JRPGs and Sonic games and it is very energetic and fun.
