Saving the GoblinsÂ
Goblins are a classic fairytale, video game, and novel villain. They are often the cannon fodder that a bid bad evil guy will throw at new adventurers. In other words, they are a staple of mediocre baddies. Yet what if, this time, the goblins were the heroes? Today, Orc Chop Games is excited to announce that their turn-based RPG, Goblin Stone, is releasing in Q1 of 2024. Inviting players to a storybook world, the game allows players to take on the role of a rag-tag band of Goblins looking to save their entire species from death. Importantly, a press release gives players a deeper look at the goblins and their world. Additionally, the release provides insights from the Orc Chop team.Â
Goblin Stone introduces players to a world where loot hungry adventurers have nearly killed off all of the goblins. Yet, these little green warriors won’t go down without a fight. Creating a party of their own, players will take control of a group of goblins and embark on a quest to save their species. Of course, this will pit them against adventurers, elves, dwarves, and more. Yet, engaging with the enemies of goblin-kind in turn-based battles is only part of the job. Players will also need to manage the goblin village, breed new goblins with unique traits and powers, and more.
The Orc Chop team says this in the press release, “We really felt that we wanted this game to truly reflect the vision we had for it, and that players get to experience Goblin Stone exactly as we intended. We’ve been working on this game for many years and it’s become a labour of love…”
Goblin Stone is releasing in Q1 of 2024 on PC via Steam.
