The City Grows ColdÂ
Surviving the cold just fell onto your shoulders. Only in this instance, you’re looking out for more than just yourself. In fact, the entire fate of mankind is now in your hands. The city must not fall. Today, 11 Bit Studios proudly unveiled the first look at the gameplay of their upcoming city builder, Frostpunk 2. The sequel to the  award-winning city-builder, Frostpunk 2 reintroduces players to the blend of strategy and emotional narrative. Importantly, the game takes place thirty years after the Great Storm, and the city looks a lot different now. However, survival remains the most important aspect of life.Â
Frostpunk 2 place players in the role of Steward of the City. This role could be more of a curse than a blessing though. As a Steward, players will be responsible for the survival of an ever-growing city full of people who all want different things. For instance some may complain about health concerns caused by growing industry. Yet, others are concerned about the lack of jobs from shutting the industry down. Additionally, as the city grows, more problems will come to light. This sequel takes place after the tyranny of the old city has ended. People can vote, and some of the citizens may be more influential than others. The laws may change, and power will exchange hands. Despite all the goings on, the players one job remains the same: The city must not fall. There is no promise, however, that you will be around to see it succeed.Â
