It’s time for a first look at a brand new world. However, it is important to note that, while vibrant, this world is dying. A plague ravages the land, it is up to you to save it. Today, Mythwalk Studios is happy to announce the launch of the Kickstarter for their upcoming Metroidvania, Dewborne Dawn. In addition to the launch, a new trailer gives players a glimpse of the world that they are stepping into. The game itself invites players to the world  of Ephemore, allowing players to embark on a Metroidvania adventure where they decide the way forward.Â
Dewborne Dawn introduces players to the character of Dew. A strange creature who awakens in a place known as the sanctuary. Yet, there is more. Dew awakens with a weapon capable of resisting the world ending plague. Of course, as Dew, players will adventure across the world forging their own path. Importantly, the game allows players a great deal of freedom when traversing the world. For instance, destroying breakable walls, finding secret tunnels, and subtle doorways that open up into vast new regions. Players will explore this hand-painted world and try their best to save it. However, it won’t be as easy as exploring. In fact, the plague has ways of fighting back using creatures known as the Spiritblight. These creatures will be taking on different forms that players will need to use different strategies to defeat. From small easy creatures players can dispatch with their blade to massive bosses.Â
