Spell and Gunslinging in the Apocalypse
Welcome to the end of the world, wizard. If you look about you, it’s plain to see the crumbling ruins of a world full of chaos, creatures, and wild magic. Hopefully, it’s nothing that your arsenal of firearms and spells can’t handle. Today, Galvanic Games and Devolver Digital are happy to give players a better glimpse of the world of their upcoming co-op survival game, Wizard With a Gun, in a new developer diary. Demonstrating the environment the new video diary, titled “Exploring the Shatter”, provides players with a look at some of the environments and characters they may encounter on their adventure. In addition, a press release provides more details on the game itself.
Wizard With a Gun allows players to try their hand at surviving an incredible and dangerous magical world. Interestingly, the world of the game has undergone a devastating cataclysm known as The Shatter. The Shatter was brought about by chaos itself and dark magics. Of course, players will travel this new world as they raft, gather resources, fight monsters, and build their towers. All with a gun in hand.
Importantly, players will journey across multiple wondrous locations. Beginning in the imperium players will travel across exciting areas like the arcane fungal farmland of The Fell, the unforgiving Frozen Wastes as well as the parched and perilous Barren Sea. Of course, during their exploration players will battle other wizards for resources, magical monsters, and more. Check out the developer diary for a look at the game.
Wizard With a Gun is releasing on PC, via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on October 17th.
