Golden Joystick Awards Will Now Get Votes

The 41st Golden Joystick Awards Powered by Intel has unveiled the shortlist for three of its most prestigious categories: Ultimate Game of the Year, Best Supporting Performer, and Best Lead Performer. These nominations are open for voting from now until 4 pm PT / 7 pm ET / 11 pm GMT on Monday, October 30.

This year has witnessed a remarkable array of exceptional games across various genres. The sheer diversity of high-scoring releases, ranging from groundbreaking new IPs to sequels and remakes, made selecting the nominees for Ultimate Game of the Year a thrilling yet challenging task. Notably, this year’s shortlist for the Ultimate Game of the Year category is the largest ever, reflecting the incredible quality and diversity of titles available to players.

The intricacies extend to the Best Lead Performer and Best Supporting Performer categories, where standout performances in games like Alan Wake 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 have been recognized. The extensive variety of roles and characters in these games demonstrates the wealth of talent in the industry.

Troy Baker will serve as the host for the awards, alongside guest presenters from the gaming world, including actors Manon Gage, Maggie Robertson, and Neil Newbon, Elvira Björkman and Nicklas Hjertberg from Two Feathers, and Gosia Mitręga, Executive Producer of the new Witcher saga at CD PROJEKT RED.

The winners will be unveiled during a celebration of gaming in London and will be globally live-streamed on major streaming platforms on Friday, November 10, 2023.
