For The King II is a roguelike strategic adventure RPG and a sequel to the 2018 title For the King. The story takes place in the realm of Fahrul. Queen Rosomon, once beloved by the people has turned against her subjects and made an alliance with sinister forces.
She has cast away all the people into a life of labor in the mines filled with darkness. The player must gather a party of four people and embark on an epic adventure to fight against the tyrannical queen. And finally, bring an end to her oppressive reign.
The game is inspired by tabletop adventures and features a familiar dice roll movement, encounter, and combat mechanics. The developer also introduced a new Battle Grid system, where movement and position provide you and your enemies with strategic buffs and penalties. Moreover, the roguelike elements make sure that it is infinitely replayable with a procedurally generated map.
This sequel offers a complete campaign with more than 30 hours of gameplay, split into 5 separate adventures. There are 12 character classes to choose from, each with its own unique perks, strengths, and playstyles. Additionally, it supports multiplayer options with up to three friends in a four-player co-op. If you wish to enjoy it solo, you have to take control of all the characters in your party.
