Overcome the Prophecy in dotAGE
Prepare yourself for some serious task! The freelance indie game designer and developer Michele Pirovano has revealed the launch trailer for dotAGE. The game is finally arriving for PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam today.
dotAGE is a merciless survival, roguelite, turn-based city-builder game. The story takes before the arrival of a great apocalypse. As the Elder, you had a vision of this doomed future. However, you decide not to give up and lead your people to an empty valley to start a fresh life. The villagers need all your masterful guidance to survive against the incoming apocalypse.
The game has deep worker placement gameplay mechanics that are inspired by board games. You must build the village and assign your workers to perform daily tasks. This includes growing crops, taking care of animals, forging tools, upgrading structures, training professionals, and many more. It features tons of resources that will be needed to perform these duties.
There are more than 200 buildings, 30 professions, 70 resources. And as the memories of the Elder are vague, each playthrough will be different. But there are permanent upgrades and unlockable features such as new ailments, the mysterious VIPs, and new Elders.
The Domains, the forces that govern the world will unleash powerful events at every turn. It ranges from poison, diseases, and earthquakes, to kittens. Yes, you heard it right. Will you be able to survive that? Don’t worry, the game also features multiple difficulty levels for you to enjoy casually.
Overall, dotAGE is an appealing title with cozy-pixelated graphics and a lot of things to explore. Take a look at the launch trailer below.
