Prepare for More Gore in Mortal Kombat 1
Steam has officially announced that the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition will allow players to play the game 5 days prior to its actual launch. This means that you will get special early access. NetherRealm Studios developed this sequel and Warner Bros. Games is the one publishing it.
Mortal Kombat 1 is the twelfth main installment in the Mortal Kombat fighting game series, serving as both a sequel to Mortal Kombat 11 (2019) and the series’ second reboot, following Mortal Kombat (2011). The game is set to be released for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S on September 19, 2023.
The game takes place in the New Era. Liu Kang created this timeline after he attained godhood in Mortal Kombat 11. In this timeline, Liu Kang has rewritten history to create a world where peace reigns supreme. However, his peace is threatened by an enemy that he never could have anticipated.
The game has a roster of over 30 characters, including both new and returning favorites. They are revamping the combat system too. A new feature called Kameo Fighters will provide assistance during the fights. Not only this, they are also introducing Air Combos, Taunts, and new blocking mechanisms. The game will have a new Fatality system called Bone Krushing, which allows players to inflict even more gruesome finishing moves on their opponents.
Mortal Kombat 1 is sure to be a hit with fans of the series. The game will have enhanced graphics and animations, intense gameplay, and plenty of gore. If you’re looking for a fighting game that will leave you breathless, then you should not miss this one.
