Dragon Quest III Remake Is Going Good So Far
Brave adventurers, we have good news regarding the development of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. Yoji Horii has finally given some updates in an interview with the Japanese Outlet Famitsu. It was one of the six games revealed during Square Enix’s Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary live-stream.
The developer Square Enix is planning to release the game on home consoles. As for now, we don’t have any information regarding the release window and the platforms.
This remake version of the 1988 title will bring an all-new look to the Dragon Quest Saga. The visual effects will be revamped with a three-dimensional feature to the original pixel-based background.
At World Cosplay Summit 2023 which took place in Nagoya, the creator said, “I’m involved in playtesting, checking, and so on. However, I thoroughly supervised and made revisions early on. The start of development is crucial, after all.” And added that “Dragon Quest III in HD-2D is progressing quite steadily. As for Dragon Quest XII, there’s still not much I can say.”
According to Yoji Horii, the team is working on a variety of things and requested everyone to look forward to them.
We are certain that this title will be worth checking out for all the fans of the Dragon Quest saga as well as RPG lovers in general.
