Attention PlayStation 5 gamers. The time has come for you to step into an adventure that is also an uncompromising and critically acclaimed RPG. That’s right, today Larian Studios is happy to announce the PS5 release of their Dungeons & Dragons RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3. Arriving on the PS5, the game is bringing a host of PlayStation-friendly features to ensure a unique yet authentic Baldur’s Gate experience. A press release provides details on the PS5 version of the game. Additionally, a PS5 trailer narrated by fan-favorite Shadowheart gives players a glimpse of what awaits them in the Forgotten Realms.Â
Baldur’s Gate 3 introduces players to one of the realms of Dungeons & Dragons. Twenty years after the release of the second game, the third installment in the series brings fans a new story that has been given near-perfect scores by critics. Selecting from 12 classes, and 11 races, straight out of the D&D Player’s Handbook, players can create their own character. Additionally, players can choose every path they want from their origin to their alignments and more. Of course, players will also be able to handpick their party from a myriad of followers or even their friends in online co-op.
Importantly the PS5 version was designed from the ground up to fit the system. A PS Blog post goes into more detail on some of the features coming to the PlayStation version. For instance, players can expect interactions with the Dualsense Controller, every action becomes used through a series of radial wheels and other integrations designed for the PlayStation.
