Welcome to a world that shouldn’t exist. A world full of interesting creatures made completely out of paper. Now, you’ll be able to experience it in the immersive ability of VR. Today, developer Pixel Reef is happy to announce that their debut title, Paper Beast, is heading to PSVR2 and PS5. Arriving on these new systems on September 27th, the game uses environmental storytelling to tell the story of the virtual world and the creatures in it. Importantly, a press release gives some details on the upgraded versions of the game. Additionally, players can check out the new enhanced edition trailer for a glimpse of the game.Â
Paper Beast introduces players to a world developed by AI. It is a world that has become unbalanced and dreamlike. Yet, there are creatures living here, strange origami-like beasts whose behaviors adapt to player actions. Of course, players will need to work with and control the beasts to solve the puzzles of the mysterious weight that has beset this world. Players will be able to interact with the creatures of the world and the environment itself. For instance, players can grab the creatures, help them, and solve their issues. Additionally, players will be able to use the game’s unique physics mechanics to divert rivers, melt ice, and more.Â
