Cantata Marches Out of Early Access

Welcome to the wartorn world of Shoal. Your empire awaits yet it won’t be built by desire alone. You must be ready to fight for your right to exist. Empires are built on blood. Today, Modern Wolf and Afterschool Studio are happy to announce the full release of their sci-fi grand strategy game, Cantata. Interestingly, the game combines turn-based strategy with the large-scale strategic planning of a grand strategy game. A press release goes provides some more details about the game and its release. Additionally, a new launch trailer gives players a look at exactly what they can expect from the game. 

Cantata invites players to the embattled world of Shoal in the titular universe. Here three distinct races battle for control of the planet. Choosing between Machines, Aliens, and Humans, players will attempt to control regions and dominate other empires. However, it won’t be easy. Expanding forces, building structures, and holding territory is time-consuming and requires great strategy. Furthermore, players will develop the legacy of their empire across nine single-player campaigns. Importantly, each campaign is a self-contained story with its own characters, storyline, dialogue, and artwork. In total, the game contains over 27 hours of content for players to explore. Additionally, once players finish with the story, they can jump right into multiplayer and test their skills against friends.
