The first of a, currently in-development, series set in the same universe with reoccurring characters. A press release provides more details on this first game. Additionally, a hand-animated launch trailer gives players a glimpse of the game and its universe.

Whisker Squadron: Survivor

Releasing on August 21st, Whisker Squadron: Survivor introduces players to the feline pilots of the titular squad. Focussing on the squadron’s battle against a ravenous and endless horde of bugs known as the Swarm, the game uses roguelite mechanics to lead players on an adventure. Importantly, the game allows players to customize their own ship and battle through ten procedurally generated zones. Each run takes place throughout 20-30 minute runs where players will attempt to stop the Swarm from overrunning the sector.

Interestingly, players will be able to customize their ship through acquired upgrades. Additionally, players will be able to upgrade their ship further with victory points following successful missions. Of course, players will also be able to unlock new pilots, mods, and more that will change their runs. Players can check out the new launch trailer for a glimpse of the game’s gameplay and art style. Whisker Squadron: Survivor is releasing on PC via Steam on August 21st, 2023. Additionally, players are able to wishlist the next game in the series, which is untitled and, set for release in 2024. So, are you ready to join Whisker Squadron?
