Axiom Verge 2 Has Officially Released On Xbox One

Thomas Happ Games is led by Tom Happ, who previously worked on several AAA titles such as Grey Goo, NFL Street and Tiger Woods. He created his own company and released Axiom Verge, a metroidvania title. On August 11th, 2022, the company released Axiom Verge 2, the game’s sequel, on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch followed by a Steam release on August 11th, 2021. Today, the company has announced that the game is now available on Xbox One. Interested fans can get their hands on the game via the Microsoft Store for $19.99USD.

In the minute-long Xbox One trailer, viewers get a great look at the game including several action sequences, various areas to explore and several reviews where the game was hailed as a great title. Moreover, the game’s predecessor set a standard for indie action-exploration games. Thus, in the sequel, players will be able to explore an expanded universe with new characters, abilities and gameplay.

Additionally, the game is described as, “Indra, the billionaire behind the worldwide Globe 3 conglomerate, heads to Antarctica to investigate the disappearance of her daughter, but ultimately finds herself in entirely different reality, infected by parasitic machines that both aid and confound her. Where is she? Who is the mysterious person goading her from the other end of the computer terminal?” Therefore, players must hack machines, battle monsters and save the world in their journey.
