End of Callisto
Every month since March, Striking Distance Studios has been adding something new to The Callisto Protocol. Whether it has been a new difficulty or a new gameplay feature, they continue to feed their loyal fans. That appears to be over now with the Final Transmission DLC.
Final Transmission is the long awaited “story DLC”. Spoilers: The Callisto Protocol ends with Jacob supposedly sacrificing himself. He extracts the Alpha DNA to create a cure for the virus and gives it to Dani, before sending her out in the last escape pod. Players are left wondering what fate awaits Jacob off-screen… until now.
Obviously, we don’t know exactly what will happen to Josh Duhamel-I mean, Jacob, but he has one more chapter to go. The DLC teaser does show us something equal part exciting and terrifying. It seems that the virus is not just infecting organic bodies, but the automaton enemies from earlier in the game get a viral upgrade.
Prepare for Final Transmission, the heart-pounding final chapter of The Callisto Protocol.
