Weird West: Definitive Edition Comes To Next-Gen Consoles Soon

Devolver Digital is a major video game publisher that has partnered with Wolfeye Studios to release Weird West. The game launched on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 31st, 2022. It released to great reviews. Since then, the team has been working on its release on next-gen consoles. Today, the companies have announced that Weird West: Definitive Edition will release on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on May 8th, 2023.

The game’s definitive edition will run in 4k resolution at 60 frames per second. Via its official Twitter, the company stated, “The rumors around the cantina are true, Weird West arrives on PS5 and XB Series X/S on May 8 with all the bells and whistles! More details next week.” Therefore, besides the release date, interested fans can look forward to more news on the upcoming release over the next few days.

In the game, players head to a reimagined and darker Wild West where lawmen and gunslingers must interact with fantastical and mythical creatures. Moreover, players will engage with atypical heroes and each journey is unique, with a series of high stakes choices and adventures. Furthermore, players will enjoy a bespoke experience as each playthrough is unique based on player choices and past choices in the arc.
