Today, Daedalic Entertainment and NACON are proud to announce the release of their adventure game, Lord of the Rings: Gollum. The game invites players to step back into the world of Middle Earth and take on the role of Gollum in a quest before The Lord of the Rings. A press release delves into all of the sneaky details about the game. Furthermore, a launch trailer gives players a glimpse at the Precious.
The Lord of The Rings: Gollum places players in the skulking bare feet of the titular character. In a story that takes place long before the War of the Ring, Gollum embarks on a journey across Middle Earth trying to reclaim his Precious, the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron. Of course, Gollum is no brave warrior. Quite the opposite in fact. No, as Gollum players will need to use what advantages they have to survive. For instance, players will climb, leap, and sneak past dangers, striking from the shadows when they can get a quick kill. Importantly, players will also need to choose what side of themselves Gollum will give in to. The light of Smeagol, or the darkness of Gollum.
