Remnant II Dives Deeper Into New Archetype with Overview Trailer

Can You Handle the Handler?

Welcome back to the devastated and broken world of Remnant. Importantly, this time, you can adventure across this world with a new friend. Today, Gearbox Publishing and Gunfire Games are diving deeper into the newest class coming their upcoming action-survival shooter, Remnant II. The new class focuses on a whole new version of combat, specifically using a canine companion. The Handler Overview Trailer gives players a deep dive into everything that makes the Handler a unique class. Additionally, a press release provides more details on the game itself.

Remnant II

Remnant II is returning players to the world of the first game. Ravaged, devastated, destroyed, the world is full of various threats that players must overcome. Importantly, players can team up with two other friends or go it alone and face these challenges as a lone wolf. Of course, every run of the game will bring players to a randomly generated world built from a wide pool of enemies, NPCs, locations, bosses, and weapons.

The Handler brings an interesting twist to the combat of Remnant II. Players are able to use their canine companion in a variety of ways. For instance, players can order their dog to attack enemies or distract them when things are getting a little too dangerous. Importantly, the Handler’s Prime Perk allows their companion to revive them or their teammates, while their Archetype Trait reduces all friendly fire done to all allies and themselves making them extremely valuable to the team. Check out the Overview trailer below.

Remnant II is releasing on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in Summer 2023.
