Elden Ring Update 1.09 Introduces Ray Tracing Support and More

Bandai Namco along with FromSoftware, a major video game developer, released Elden Ring in February 2022. Since its release, the game has garnered the reputation of being a standout title and won multiple Game of the Year Awards and sold more than 20 million copies. Since then, the team has been working on improving the game and releasing more content. Update 1.09 is officially live in the game and introduces Ray Tracing Support for Xbox, PC and PlayStation platforms. Moreover, players will enjoy a multitude of bug fixes and adjustments throughout the game.

Players will be able to enjoy a fantastic new feature that is slowly creeping into premium games, Ray Tracing. It will be available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S and can be activated via the game’s menu. However, players should note that using Ray Tracing may lead to performance issues such as its frame rate and resolution. Players should bear in mind the game’s minimum requirements before using the tool. Besides that, the developers have introduced a lot of balance changes and bug fixes to the game.

Additionally, in late February, 2023, FromSoftware announced the first DLC for the game, Shadow of the Endtree. Unfortunately, FromSoftware has now given fans much information about the upcoming DLC besides the fact that it is currently in development. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
