The Tale of Pinocchio
A well-known fairytale is about to get much, much, darker. Additionally, it is getting some physical editions. Today, NEOWIZ announced that there will be physical editions of their upcoming dark RPG, Lies of P. Partnering with Fireshine, the companies will bring the physical editions of the game to PlayStation and Xbox consoles in Western markets. Lies of P introduces players to a dark twist on the story of Pinocchio. Stepping into the automaton-puppet shows of P, players will explore a ruined city known as Krat. Importantly the game features fast-paced, action soulslike combat that players will use against the horrific denizens of the city. Of course, as P, players will scavenge, craft, and interact with an entire cast of characters. Just remember that lying can change everything.Â
The physical editions of the game will be released at the same time as the digital release of the game in August. Sarah Hoeksma, the Marketing Director at Fireshine Games, shares Fireshine’s excitement with the release saying “We are delighted to have partnered with NEOWIZ to release the physical version of Lies of P in western markets later this year…As one of the most anticipated games of 2023, we can’t wait for players to step into this deeply dark take on a classic tale”Â
