Epic Games Announces End of Rumbleverse Live Services Next Month

In August 2022, Epic Games along with Iron Galaxy Studios release its battle royale, Rumbleverse, on multiple platforms. The game released a free to play game with solid reception. Unfortunately today, the developer and publisher announced that the game’s live service will come to an end on Tuesday February 28th, 2023. The team confirmed that Season Two content will be the last for the game’s short-lived life.

Via an official release, the companies stated, “Iron Galaxy Studios and Epic Games are very sorry to share that Season Two will be the last for Rumbleverse. This project has been a labor of love to create a new experience in a popular and highly competitive genre for games. If you’ve been a part of that journey, we thank you – whether you jumped into the first playtest after our reveal, or just shot yourself out of the cannon for the first time.”

Furthermore, the team confirmed that any player who spent money on the game will be eligible for a refund. This includes a battle pass purchase and Brawlla Bills. Furthermore, the current battle pass will be available to all players and XP points will be fast tracked to allow players to experience the content. In closing. Iron Galaxy Studios thanked fans for their support during the game’s life span and noted that there are future plans from the company. Rumbleverse coming to an end is an unfortunate story in gaming.
