Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania Bringing the Nostalgia in March

Dead Cells Meets Castlevania Soon 

It’s almost time.  One of the most ambitious cross-overs in sidescrolling history is almost upon us. The genre defining Castlevania is inviting the roguelite legend Dead Cells to its world. Today, Motion Twin and Evil Empire are excited to reveal the release date for the upcoming crossover between Dead Cells and Castlevania. Arriving on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles and the Nintendo Switch on March 6th, the crossover is bringing a, whole host of new content to the game. Furthermore, a new gameplay trailer gives fans a look at the new DLC.

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania is taking players back to the roots of the genre with ancestor of Metroidvanias. This time,  our headless hero is finding himself in a whole new land. Of course, this place is home to the legendary big bad, Dracula. It is Dracula’s castle after all. Importantly, the Beheaded won’t be alone here. Richter Belmont is here to lend a hand where he can, and of course with the prospect of loot, the Beheaded is right behind him. In fact, the DLC features 14 iconic weapons from Castlevania. For instance, weapons like the Vampire Killer, Throwing Axe and Holy Water will all be making an appearance. 

Furthermore, players will be facing off against several new enemies. From werewolves to bloodsuckers and skeletons. The beheaded needs to be ready for anything. Including battles with Death and Dracula himself, with another secret boss as well. Of course, players can check out the new gameplay trailer for a look at the DLC. 

Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania will be releasing on March 6th. It will be available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox consoles and the Nintendo Switch. So, are you ready to go back to the roots of Dead Cells?
