Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded Coming to PSVR 2

Rule 78: Use Virtual Training

The zombie-killing cult-classic film series Zombieland doesn’t come around all that often. With ten years between the two films and a couple of video games, we might not see another film for quite a while. That’s not to say the series is totally dead, which is pretty appropriate. Zombieland: Headshot Fever is coming ’round again.

2019’s Zombieland: Double Tap had a tie-in game for Nintendo Switch, but a couple of years later, a VR game came out. Zombieland: Headshot Fever came out for Steam VR, Meta Quest, and Vive. A re-release will be coming out for PSVR 2.

Zombieland: Headshot Fever

After Columbo, Little Rock, Wichita, and Tallahassee accidentally rescue you, you shack up with their crew. The game is an arcade on-rails shooter full of different guns to use, wracking up the best scores you can. There is a bullet-time feature to help you score combos of the gnarliest zombie kills.

Nine months ago, the game added an Arcade Attack mode for free. When it launches on PSVR 2, Zombieland: Headshot Fever Reloaded will likely include all the updates thus far. There are some exclusive features that will be implemented using the PSVR 2 hardware.

According to the PlayStation Store, Reloaded will have “Adaptive triggers: making every weapon feel different. Controller haptics: unique haptic feedback every time you fire a weapon. Headset rumble: feel the horde approaching in the headset. [and] Eye-tracking: supports eye-tracking for foveated rendering.”

Zombieland: Headshot Fever is available now for Steam VR, Meta Quest, and Vive. It will launch on PSVR 2 when the hardware launches, on February 22nd.
