Listen up soldiers, the frontlines have moved. This time, everyone’s favorite army toys are taking playtime warfare to the Nintendo Switch. Today, Signal Studios and Accelerate Games are excited to announce that their strategy war game, Toy Soldiers HD, is now available on the Nintendo Switch. Interestingly, the game offers players a mash-up of top-down strategy and FPS action meaning players control the battle and fight in it. A press release provides more info on the Switch release. Toy Soldiers HD places players in command of an army man army in a dynamic childhood room. Of course, players will have a whole army of WWI style soldiers and equipment. For instance, players can use  bi-planes, machine guns, mortars, cavalry, riflemen and more. An important aspect of the game is preparing your defenses and soldiers before the start of battle. Furthermore, a unique feature of the game is the ability for players to switch from commanding soldiers form above, to picking up a gun themselves. From ensuring your troops have their orders, to battling other toys in the heat of combat, players will have more than enough to keep themselves busy.Â
