The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow Arriving to Switch This Month

Folk Horror

There are mysteries afoot. It’s time for an adventure into the supernatural, into the unknown, into Hob’s Barrow.  Today Cloak & Dagger Games is happy to announce the release date for the Switch version of their point-and-click adventure game, The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow. Releasing on January 25th, the Switch version of the game is bringing all of the mystery found in rural England to Nintendo players. Of course, a press release provides more details about the game. Additionally, players can check out the Switch release trailer for a better look at the game.

The Excavation of Hob's Barrow

The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow introduces players to Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman. In the process of writing a book she receives a letter. The letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay in the English countryside. However, it is in this small village where she discovers everything is not what it seems. A mystery is unfolding. Her assistant, the man who sent the letter, is missing. Of course, only Thomasina can solve the disappearance.

Dealing with an evolving mystery inspired by real English folklore, the game will introduce players to a whole cast of characters. In fact, players will meet these various characters as they explore the English countryside with classic point-and-click controls. Importantly, the game introduces players to a strange and dreary atmosphere full of puzzle encounters. Players can check out the Nintendo Switch version of the game below.

The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow is arriving on Nintendo Switch on January 25th. The game will cost $14.99 upon release on the system. So, are you prepared to face the mystery of the Barrow?
