Today Acid Wizard Studio and Crunching Koalas are happy to announce that their atmospheric horror game, Darkwood, has launched on PS5. Arriving as the enhanced version of the game, Darkwood on the PS5 is boasting a host of new features to look forward too. A press release delves into all the dark details. Darkwood introduces players to the dark and eerie forests of the Soviet Bloc. They will attempt to survive by fortifying their hideout, scavenging for supplies, preparing traps, and importantly, crafting weapons. You aren’t alone out in these woods. Of course, at night in the darkness, terrifying monsters emerge hunting you. Importantly the forest, and events therein, are procedurally generated. This means every player will experience the game differently.Â
The enhanced version of the game is bringing a ton to look forward too. For instance players can expect native 4K resolution, interactive, features of the DualSense controller and more. Of course players can get a look at a few of these features in the PS5 launch trailer. Check it out below.Â
