Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s Co-Op Episodes Are a “Direct Continuation of the Campaign”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 devs just revealed more details about the game’s post-launch content road map. These plans include multiplayer Raids for its Special Ops mode. According to the road map, the Raids will be ready for players to enjoy this December.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 itself is due for release on October 28th. However fans who are able to pre-order the game’s digital version can get early access to its campaign starting October 20th. Furthermore, its launch will be followed by a pre-season period where players can increase their levels in order to unlock certain things. Examples of these items are attachments, base Loadout items, and weapons. They can all use these items to progress through the Special Ops tier system.
Its first season of live content will launch on November 16th alongside Warzone 2.0 and the all-new DMZ mode. Plus, the “very first episode of Raids” will be accessible with the Season 1 Reloaded patch that is due to come out on December 14th. This patch is also bringing a “legendary multiplayer map,” as well as the first major update for Warzone 2.0.
Devs previously informed the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 community that the Raids will bering “a whole new experience for the franchise.” It has come to light that this will be a “three-player cooperative engagement requiring teamwork and strategic, puzzle-solving thinking in-between bouts of intense combat.”
Today, Activision confirmed that they will also be “a direct continuation of the Campaign.” The Raids will form part of the game’s co-op Special Ops mode that will include three missions. All of the mission will be taking place in Al Mazrah. This region is actually also the main area for Warzone 2.0.
