The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, Horror Game, Coming to PC Later 2022

Today Cloak & Dagger Games is happy to announce their point-and-click mystery adventure, The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, is coming to PC later in 2022. A press release provides more details about the game. Additionally, a teaser trailer for the game gives players a look at the game’s art style as well as what else they can expect. 

The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow introduces players to Antiquarian Thomasina Bateman. On a mission writing a book on the barrows of England, documenting the treasures, she receives a strange letter. This letter summons her to the small village of Bewlay in the English countryside. However, upon arriving, the man who sent the letter is nowhere to be found and Thomasina’s assistant, who was supposed to be a day behind her, never arrives.

Players must solve an evolving mystery inspired by real English folklore. Of course, players will meet a whole cast of intriguing characters as they sort out this mystery. All of this while they engage in a classic point-and-click adventure style game full of puzzle interactions. Of course, players can get a glimpse of the gameplay, art style, and story of the game in the new teaser trailer. 

The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow is releasing later in 2022 for PC via Steam. So, are you ready to head into a small village and experience the unnatural? Beware, not everything is as it seems. You’ll figure that out upon arrival, of course.
