343i announces campaign co-op testing and public release dates for Halo Infinite, keeping its roadmap promises for Season 2.
The testing phase for the campaign co-op will start as soon as next month for Halo Insiders. 343i is targeting late August and September for the full and public release of this highly demanded feature, as previously announced in the April 2022 roadmap announcement. However, the campaign co-op mode will remain limited to online play until the local split-screen co-op mode is ready for release sometime during Season 3.

The campaign co-op feature has long been in demand since Halo Infinite had initially launched its campaign in December 2021. It was delayed multiple times and after a long wait, it’s finally coming as promised. The feature will allow players to play the campaign missions together and is announced to allow up to 4 players in the same session.
Campaign local co-op is expected to make its way to the game during Season 3 which is announced for November 2022. However, Halo Infinite fans should still be very excited for the rest of Season 2 as it is still set to bring back Forge into the Halo franchise. Forge is the map-creation tool that has long enabled Halo players to invent their own game mode and on their own maps. The new Forge mode is expected to be the biggest ever in Halo history and is announced to be available during Season 2, around September 2022.
Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer is available for free download right now on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Halo Infinite’s campaign story is available for purchase on all of the aforementioned devices, as well as Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
